@Ali74 true, but the what im talking about is that the american sentiment at home was greatly illogical. the idea that germany was just going to leave us out of it? nonsense. the proposal we just play weapons dealer? selfish and silly.

@hrolvnir glaze over what? Its common knowledge that Britain was the only country in the world that opposed Hitler in 1939 and in 1940 the British defeated the Nazi’s single handedly at the Battle of Britain. Thats the point Ed is alluding to…in an amusing manner.

@hrolvnir Actually, Roosevelt when as close to the limit as isolationist sentiment in both the Congress and public opionion would allow him to. See Lend Lease, etc.
But please don’t try to correct Eddie’s account of history here — if you do, you’re missing the entire point. See humor, etc.
