Argentinean Foreign Minister Hector Timerman accused the United Kingdom of deploying nuclear weapons near the Falkland Islands.

Timmerman is talking out of his arse. This is merely propaganda!. He has absolutely no idea where the UK’s nucleur armed subs are positioned. Timmerman, if we wanted to destroy Argentina we dont need to send a nucleur sub to the south atlantic. We could fire a missile from the english channel and it would still reach you!!

He is crying over the deployment of the latest warplanes, ship and nuclear submarines because Argenina doesnt have them and cant afford to get them. If they did have them, then they would deploy them.

Oh please, I can count the number people who know the whereabouts of the Vanguard class subs on one hand, and none of them are argentinian. 99% of the crew on these submarines don’t even know where they are. Who does this guy think he is?

The state-of-the-art warship & Prince William’s deployment there in search & rescue pilot training is merely for defence purposes… given all the verbal provocation from Argentina, threats, attacks on the UK embassy & banks, blocking Latin American seaports for Falkland Isle ships & banning Falkland Isle flags…. and they’re the ones acting like neo-colonists now!
If south America is against colonisation… then give all the Latin American nations back to their natives & go back to Spain!

Remember Argentina stole babies from their political opponents & told the UK they wouldn’t invade the Falklands during talks at the US then attacked & caused a war. If the UK wanted to attack Argentina… they’d have done so by now! If Argentines or any Latin American nation is against humans colonising areas of land… they can go back to Spain! The Falkland Isles were settled by British people long before Spain colonised all of Latin America. Respect the Falkland Isle people’s wishes too!

We are not the reason that the world is falling apart, we are not the dominant power it is up to the US as the worlds superpower to sort it out. Europe is not in the “most important crisis of the last thousand years” I would say that the two World Wars were a little more important. More people died and the economies were even worse. With the exception of Italy, Spain and Greece, Europes econimies are quickly re-growing.

And you have reason to say that The United Kingdom made the modern world, but thanks to that so is the world falling apart. And Europe with the most important crisis of the last thousand years.

Please. If the UK wanted Argentina in the Empire then we would have taken you. We may have fought and you may (I repeat may) have beaten us on a few occasions but the might of the Royal Navy and the British Army would have crushed Argentina with relative ease. Remember, at the time there was no country on earth that was as rich, powerful or unbeatable as the UK!
The British Empire created the modern world… what has Argentina ever done for it?

We didn’t fight the French or the Spanish- neither claimed the islands and so we did. Simple, so one would think, but according to Argentina, they owned it before Argentina even existed. What logic they have down there in South America.

… the Royal Navy, the Royal Air Force and the British Army. The idea of being told what to do with our own territory, by Argentina, is pathetic. The UK seems to have grown a pair and is ignoring Argentina but they still pose a threat. I would like to see one more Type 45 in the South Atlantic just to see how the Argentines react- probably in the same way as they did in 1982- back to Argentina with their tails between their legs.

where to patrol by the British Government, the MoD or the Royal Navy. It is up to the captain of the sub to tell the pilot where to go.
The fact is, Argentina is trying to raise tensions between the UK and itself to justify invading the Falklands again. This blundering moron also tells us to stick to the rules of the UN…. I though the UN frowned upon nations who invade other nations… who invaded the Falklands in 1982. Bunch of socially dead morons who think that they can play with the UK…

Well there are a couple of things wrong with this rather uneducated speech.
1) We have not increased military activity “4 fold”. We are replacing a Type 23 Frigate with a Type 45 Destroyer. HMS Edinburgh (a Type 42 destroyer) was in the South Atlantic last year and they didn’t bitch about her.
2) The Nuclear Submarine “with the capacity to unload nuclear weapons” is not controlled by the MoD or the Royal Navy once it has left British waters. The Vanguard Class roam the globe and are not told…
