International Scholarships for Studying Abroad

International scholarships for studying abroad have been possible in some universities located in the developed countries such as USA, Australia, United Kingdom, Sweden etc. This has indeed made studying abroad possible to the less privileged as tuition costs are covered. Most of these international scholarships for studying abroad go beyond tuition costs to cover travel expenses.
International scholarships and grants are the two terms that can make one enjoy free education abroad without any regret. In the United Kingdom, the commonwealth scholarship which is available to all commonwealth nations cover tuition fees and also grant some allowances to the awardees. The commonwealth scholarship is divided into undergraduate scholarships and postgraduate scholarships. The undergraduate scholarships are limited to only a few countries while the postgraduate scholarships are for all commonwealth nations.
Aside United Kingdom, international scholarships for studying abroad are possible in Australia, USA and Sweden respectively. As of the year 2011, about four countries enjoy the easy scholarships offered by the commonwealth scholarship commission at undergraduate level. These countries include Falkland Islands, Maldives, St Helena and the Seychelles. At masters level, the commonwealth scholarship offers international students free scholarship to study abroad. Postgraduate scholarships offered by the commission include the split site doctoral awards which gives doctoral students the opportunity to enjoy the commonwealth scholarship.
As mentioned earlier, Australia is another country that offers international scholarships for studying abroad to international students. The postgraduate scholarships offered by the Australian Government covers hundred percent of the tuition fees, travel costs; also living allowance are offered to the awardees. Lots of international students expecially African students have benefitted from these international scholarships and tuition free studies abroad.
Aside these international scholarships for international students at international schools, there also exist tution free universities in some parts of Europe where international students can study for free as well. These tuition free universities in Europe exist in only three developed countries in Europe which include Finland, Norway and Iceland. It used to be more than three but due to the changing policy of these countries, most of them stopped granting free education to international students.
